Happy Birthday to you
The Disney Channel UK celebrated their 10th Birthday at The Bridge SE1 on 2nd November 2005. Our in house event team from The Ultimate Experience turned the Deep Blue arches into an extremely smart reception space.
Reeds carpeted all three arches in white, while More Productions covered the walls and ceilings in white draping. Halo provided very cool lighting to set the mood, and Spaceworks & Set Pieces provided some amazing and unusual furniture. The centrepiece was a white chocolate fountain, provided by our friends at The Original Chocolate Fountain. Beautiful hostesses from Boardman Bookings, dressed as cinema usherettes, circled the room and welcomed guests.
The Grey Arch was turned into a cinema for the evening. A giant screen showed a 5 minute Showreel of new programming for 2006. More unusual furniture helped create four separate areas which reflected some of the new shows available on Disney, whilst entertainers and games provided some fun and prizes for the guests in each of the zones.
The party was attended by over 300 guests. Create Food & Party Design provided some delicious food and drink and, yes, Mickey & Minnie were honoured guests!
